Staying Cosy this Winter

Now that Christmas is over, it's time to make good use of the presents you received... I was gifted some lovely pieces and today's post is about keeping cosy in this cold, wet weather.

My parents got me this Burberry Wool and Cashmere Blanket scarf. I had to help them out a little with my present this year and when I saw this on the Burberry website I gave a few not-so-subtle hints.  The House Check is classic Burberry and I love that on the reverse side it features a deep red/burgundy check. For me, it's all about the small details and the edges of the scarf feature a clean blanket stitch - super yum!

I love the heritage behind the brand, in particular the crazy fact that the scarf was made at a 200 year old mill in Scotland, it doesn't get any cooler than it!
This scarf later went into the sale (yay for you but boo for me) and can be found here for £148. It comes in a lovely Dark Plum version too (also £148), which is perfect for someone who prefers a less obvious check.

My dream would be to own a Blanket Poncho in House Check - starting at £895, with my initials monogrammed of course... However I'm sure this will do for now!

Even though it's super warm at home (my friends call it a sauna because it's so cosy around winter time), I really wanted a pair of soft slippers to wear indoors. A Christmas present from my sister was a pair of Ugg Scuffette II suede slippers in Chestnut. Seen with Gap printed cotton leggings (similar pair here: 1, 23)

I can't even begin to describe how comfy and soft they are to wear. I feel like such a grandma wearing them, especially on a Friday night when I'm home alone watching movies in bed eating popcorn, but hey ho! I hope you all had a fab Christmas and New Years!!
