Backstage at Preen by Thornton Bregazzi

Interning at Preen and helping out at the LFW show has been one of my highlights this year!

I spent most of my time working alongside the Collection Manager and was in charge of creating specs for each garment being made in production. I'm a very confident Adobe user, and my Illustrator skills were key here as I was on a Mac every day drawing up garments.

Despite all of the horror stories you hear about interning and working backstage at fashion shows, it was actually a lot of fun and very relaxed. Yes, there were late nights the days before the show, but pretty much all of the pieces were finished about a week before.

Castings took place a few days before the show, with a few dozen models popping in and out of the studio until the early hours. At times it felt like a waiting game, so you always had to be on your toes and prepared to step in and help.

AWOL... Where have I been?

I've had a lot of people ask me about my blog and why there aren't any new posts... Did I completely forget about it? Did I get sick of writing? Can I still be bothered?

The answer is none of the above.
In fact I really wanted to write, but I just couldn't seem to find the time. But now, after a short hiatus, I'm finally back - and super inspired to get writing!

How to write a fab CV

Finishing my second year this summer and heading into placement year is super exciting. I spent a lot of time working on my CV, cover letter and e-portfolio before applying for internships.

If you're like me, a total perfectionist who refuses to post something until it's 10000% perfect, then writing up a CV is definitely going to take a while.

It's here! The final images from the Miista X Harvey Nichols Style Concierge collaboration which took place last month. We had so much fun getting dressed up and shooting these photos, and I'm really pleased with the images. So without further ado, here they are...

Keeping Organised...

Keeping organised is one of the most challenging things for me, with uni and work I have so much going on I often find myself sat down at my desk panicking at the long 'to do' list in my head.
For my New Years resolution I told myself that this year I would make sure I have a planner which I would try to use religiously.  Here's how I achieved my resolution (so far)...
(This month's Glamour magazine, Smython Chelsea Girl Panama Notebook and Bond Street Organiser, Skinnydip London Plushie stickers, Thank You cards, custom phone case*, Muji stationary case)

Cool + Casual for Spring

This past week has brought us so much sunshine, and it's been so lovely to go out for a walk without having to worry about getting blown over by the latest storm...

I put together this casual outfit for some shopping and coffee in the sun.

Lingerie of The Month X Stella McCartney Intimates Giveaway!

For March's Lingerie of The Month, I've decided to go all out and host a very special giveaway...

A few months back I purchased a pair of Stella McCartney's Grey Valentine silk briefs with the intention of hosting a giveaway on the blog and I thought what better time to do it then during my birthday month!

21st Birthday Round-Up

On Monday I turned 21.. what a week it's been! I've been truly spoilt by all my friends and family and I'm so thankful for everyone who celebrated my birthday with me!

Benihana - Chelsea

On the Friday, I had an intimate birthday dinner with my lovely girlfriends over at Benihana on the Kings Road. It was my first time going and I've always heard good things, so thought it would be the perfect place.

The tables are set out with your own private chef, who cooks your food in front of you. Our chef Jackson was an amazing cook and so hilarious.. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at the dinner table before!

Bloom & Wild Review

As you all know, on my blog I will only ever be truthful about my experience with products and brands - so today I'm going to post something really fresh and new...

Mother's Day and International Womens Day were last week and my sister and I wanted to surprise my mum by sending some flowers to her work. We had a little look online and decided on Bloom & Wild and the Lizzie bouquet.

Miista X Style Concierge Collaboration BTS

I had the pleasure of collaborating with Miista yesterday, along with my fab co-workers Shanika and Kimmie. We were asked to style an outfit around a pair of their shoes, play dress up for the day and get snap-happy... how could I say no?!

I chose the Vivienne a pair of woven leather sandals which feature a perplex heel. I styled these with a ribbed roll neck by Proenza Schouler, lace-trimmed wool skirt by Peter Pilotto and a smiley leather cross-body bag by Anya Hindmarch.

Balmain x H&M

Very often I find myself purchasing things and then completely forgetting about them... Recently I had a wardrobe clearout and came across my Balmain x H&M t-shirt which was tucked away with all my summer clothes.

As this outfit is quite casual, I dressed it up with gold accessories and statement shoes. I paired this tee with super-skinny black J-Brands and my Isabel Marant boots.

February Lingerie of The Month

It's Valentine's Day... so I thought what better way to celebrate than by going along with the theme and choosing the seductive Mathilde Giggling set by Stella McCartney as my February Lingerie of The Month!

Glamming up a Sunday Stroll

I rarely get time to myself on the weekends, so it's always nice to make the most of my day off.

Staying Cosy this Winter

Now that Christmas is over, it's time to make good use of the presents you received... I was gifted some lovely pieces and today's post is about keeping cosy in this cold, wet weather.

My parents got me this Burberry Wool and Cashmere Blanket scarf. I had to help them out a little with my present this year and when I saw this on the Burberry website I gave a few not-so-subtle hints.  The House Check is classic Burberry and I love that on the reverse side it features a deep red/burgundy check. For me, it's all about the small details and the edges of the scarf feature a clean blanket stitch - super yum!

How to Style: an LBD

Here we go, my first outfit post of 2016... styling a simple LBD that can be worn absolutely anywhere.

When in doubt, wear black.
