Ming Ray X Harvey Nichols Snapchat Takeover

One of my favourite things about working as a Stylist at Harvey Nichols is meeting with the brands and collaborating. Towards the end of the year I had the most coolest day at work that it almost didn't feel like work!?

Ming Ray took over the Harvey Nichols Snapchat and I was asked to choose my favourite pieces from the collection and style them.. continue below to find out what I chose!

Pick of the Month: January

Working in retail, there's always something new on my wishlist. I'm really excited to be putting out my first 'Pick of the Month', a place to feature my favourite item of the month.

This month it's all about Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh, I could rave about this brand all day longggggggg!

Swimwear of the Month

If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know that I recently went away to a gorgeous Caribbean island.. Barbados.

It's so hard to believe how quickly the time went, I went for a week long stay with my sister and it was most definitely the best place I've ever been to. Waking up at 6am was so easy when you have a stunning view to wake up to and living like a mermaid for a week was fabulous.

Backstage at Preen by Thornton Bregazzi

Interning at Preen and helping out at the LFW show has been one of my highlights this year!

I spent most of my time working alongside the Collection Manager and was in charge of creating specs for each garment being made in production. I'm a very confident Adobe user, and my Illustrator skills were key here as I was on a Mac every day drawing up garments.

Despite all of the horror stories you hear about interning and working backstage at fashion shows, it was actually a lot of fun and very relaxed. Yes, there were late nights the days before the show, but pretty much all of the pieces were finished about a week before.

Castings took place a few days before the show, with a few dozen models popping in and out of the studio until the early hours. At times it felt like a waiting game, so you always had to be on your toes and prepared to step in and help.
